The player and club data is always current because they are subject to regular updates. In the game users archieve upgrading or building a new arena, the entire training and much more. In all kinds o ftasks of a manager, such as the viewing and undertaking new talents, the dynamic 3D mode the games of the own team can be observed live. While the play is going on, it is possible to intervene into play at any time, you can exchange players, set new tactical roadmap sets etc.

At the start of the game, both players are at the center of the court. A jump ball is thrown between them, at which point play begins. The offensive player (the one with the ball) always faces the goal he's shooting at, and the defensive player always faces his opponent. Each player can move in eight directions with the joystick; the player with the ball constantly dribbles it. The defensive player may steal the ball when it leaves the opponent's hands (either in mid-dribble or mid-shot).

After either player scores, the shooter is reset to the center of the court, and the defender is set under the net to rebound the ball. The player with the highest score after four minutes is the winner.

The focus of the game is the control of the your own tank, but the ability to command a number of attached units (armour, vehicles and infantry up to platoon strength) is given through the use of a command and navigation map. Artificial Intelligence (AI) controlled tank crewmen can man any station and be ordered by the player via hotkey's, or you can take the seat as tank commander, gunner, or driver yourself at any time. Internal and external free motion camera views provide an exciting and dynamic overview of the battlefield. The game provides scalable realism settings, giving you a lot of flexibility to adjust the game to your own liking and system capabilities. Newbies can set the realism to lower levels to allow them to get the hang of modern armoured combat while the armour grognards will want to tweak weapons performance to their realistic, and lethal, levels and enable all the nitty-gritty details like barrel wear, engine stalls, restricted internal viewing angles, full collision damage and even engine and transmission management and starter battery failures!
